I recently saw this post on a friend's Facebook wall:
"Everything happens for a reason but sometimes the reason is that you are stupid and you make bad decisions."
It's a common assertion that 'everything happens for a reason'. But perhaps its an assumption that needs examining.
What role does reason, logic, and understanding play in our information age? How do we depend on it in our decision making and as we face the issues of our personal lives and our larger communities? Do we always do things or agree because it "makes sense"? How does faith integrate in the life of a thinking person?
Lots of questions to discuss and "think" about this Sunday in the context of worshiping our creator. If your not opening the cottage this weekend, I hope you can be part of it.
Blessings and Peace,
Stephen
